In the contribution the classification of evaluation\ud models of geodetic control measurements is given.\ud Contemporary geodetic measurement systems offer\ud possibilities to measure movements and deformations\ud of object in all details. As such they give the opportunity\ud to fulfill the trends in engineering surveying which\ud intend to determine not only the geometrical changes\ud of an object but above all to describe the dynamic of\ud the changes in space and time as subject of influencing\ud forces. This procedure demands the use of dynamic\ud models, which consider the object, causative forces and\ud the resulting deformations as the entirety. By\ud simplification of dynamic models the static, kinematic\ud and (identity) models are derived

In this diploma thesis, we examined the possibilities of visualizing of modelling results regarding hydraulic dynamic systems in the programme Matlab. We investigated also the options of combination of animation results with video presentation of the real system. For this goal also the programme VEGAS Movie Studio was used as a suitable tool for needed operations. In the introductory chapter the tasks that motivated this work are presented. This is followed by a description of the most important features of the programme VEGAS Movie Studio. Then four hydraulic systems are introduced. Very detailed description of the first one is given in the Chapter 3. This is a hydraulic pilot device located at the Laboratory of Control Systems and Cybernetics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. For this device all needed design steps are described when using combined modelling approach. This is followed by a description of the developed animation results and also by the illustration how combined presentation is possible taking into account both developed animation results and video presentations of the real system operation. Chapters 3 to 5 present different operation modes of the AMIRA 200 DTS hydraulic pilot device. In these chapters first corresponding mathematical models are described, while later on also all developed programmes are given and illustrated with corresponding animation results. To enable user friendly observation of the operation of all developed programme files graphical user interface was generated. The user can observe all the features of developed modelling results and corresponding visualization by simply pushing the prepared buttons in the suitable level of this interface

Within the framework of our thesis we presented the development of mathematical models and hydraulic systems of different structure. In doing so, we used a combined approach to modeling. In the construction of models we also performed measurements that were performed on a real system, namely on the AMIRA DTS 200 pilot device. The work is organized as follows. In the first section we described the motivation for this task and the basic modeling methods. Chapters 2 to 6 describe the five differently defined problems of hydraulic systems modeling, that differ in the order and number of input or output signals. In the second section, we presented and described mathematical modeling of the first order hydraulic system in a series of typical design steps. The modeling results are actually two, a non-linear and linearized model that describe the performance of the system near the selected operating conditions. The following sections describes the experiments made and the development of nonlinear models for a univariable second and third-order system and for a multivariable third-order system. We have not implemented linearization in modeling these systems. All developed models and measurements can be viewed in a user-friendly way with the help of a developed graphical interface, and because of their transparency it also allows easy continuation of work, both in the context of modeling and control planning

Automated modelling of lakes from data and expert knowledge: evaluation of applications

    Get PDF
Ecological models of lakes are useful tools for a better understanding of the ecosystem behaviour, lake management, policy making, as well as testing and accepting engineering solutions. Setting such model is a difficult task due to the complexity of these ecosystems. Therefore it is reasonable to use as many approaches as possible to construct a reliable model of the observed domain. In this paper the evaluation of an automated modelling method, called Lagramge, that combines the two basic approaches, i.e. data-driven (inductive) approach and knowledge-driven (deductive) approach, is given. The method supports the introduction of domain knowledge in the procedure of equation discovery from measured data, where the domain modelling knowledge is introduced in a form of modelling knowledge library. Four applications of the method, i.e. Lake Glumsø, Lake Bled, Lake Kasumigaura, and Greifensee, comprise different modelling tasks for Lagramge, each of them resulting in a specific model of the observed domains. The models are evaluated in terms of their descriptive power and their performance (goodness of fit to the measurements). Although faced with some constraints, the method can be successfully used in complex domains. It can be used successfully for model discovery as well as for other scientific discoveries, such as identifying dynamic patterns in the observed system, i.e. dynamic structure of the ecosystem

Securing user internet access using the next generation firewall

Good practice in information infrastructure security requires a multifaceted approach. In the majority of cases, the firewall represents the first line of defence. The thesis discusses diverse types of firewalls, as well as advantages and disadvantages of diverse technological approaches. Increasingly more sophisticated threats have promoted the development of advanced security systems together with their integration into present day firewalls. A detailed description of a next generation firewall and its most important functions is, therefore, given. When securing computer networks the user himself with his devices represents the biggest threat to its vulnerability. An example of a hypothetical client, therefore, introduces the concept of the next generation firewall use. In reference to the needs of the client, the traffic and application analysis is introduced. The analysis serves as a basis for both implementation plan and the execution of a secure user internet access. The main goal of the thesis is to present the user and the application as the cornerstones of access policy

The thesis presents the concept of virtualization and cloud computing. It focuses on the infrastructure as a service model of cloud computing, which enables customers to set up their own virtualized infrastructure. The thesis takes a closer look at the Virtual Computing Lab, which was developed at the State University of North Carolina in order to provide students and researchers with remote access to computing resources. OpenStack, an open-source software cloud computing platform is also presented. Despite offering a wide array of services, it does not have the option of time-limited computing resource reservations as provided by Virtual Computing Lab. Therefore, the option of integrating the two systems is considered and a module is presented for the Virtual Computing Lab upgrade, which enables users to provide compute resources from a private cloud built on the OpenStack platform

Krmiljenje obsega dodeljevanje nalog, načrtovanje poti in časovno usklajevanje poti več vozil. Robot Operating System) ogrodje. As a part of Industry 4.0, which is the name for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing systems, there is a significant development in the field of autonomous guided vehicles (AGV). Within this master thesis, we developed software for control of AGV systems. The control covers dispatching, routing and scheduling of vehicles\u27 tasks. An implementation of the software is based on node graphs and the time-window method. The software was tested in a simulation environment for different scales of the working environment, and a different number of tasks. The results show that the software is sufficiently fast. It can plan up to 100 tasks within 5 seconds with 100% success rate. The result of our work is a mathematically sound, flexible, scalable, and modular solution. According to the results, the solution can be used in real-world cases. The algorithm was also implemented using the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework
